David Dardashti
A Pioneer in Ibogaine Research and Healing
Let’s talk
The Intersection of Science, Nature, and Discipline
From his earliest years, David Dardashti was driven by a dual curiosity for the rigorous laws of clinical science and the deeper mysteries of holistic spirituality. At age 12, he enrolled in a demanding agricultural boarding school, where his formative years were defined by intense discipline.
Working the land from 5:00 AM until noon, followed by academic studies until 8:00 PM, David developed a unique philosophy: The Symbiotic Recovery Model. By observing the rhythms of nature, he learned to bridge the gap between biological reality and spiritual connectivity—a perspective that now defines the trauma-informed care offered at his clinic.
A Decade of Leadership in Ibogaine Therapy
David’s career is defined by a relentless work ethic and a passion for integrative addiction recovery. This drive guided him to his true calling in the field of psychedelic medicine and plant-based healing.
Today, David channels over 12 years of experience as the founder of the Ibogaine Clinic in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Under his leadership, the clinic has become a premier destination for those seeking to leverage the subconscious mind to heal from trauma and chemical dependency. His mission remains clear: combining the discipline of science with the restorative power of nature to provide a safe, transformative path to wellness
A LIFELONG LEARNER
About David Dardashti: A Pioneer in Ibogaine Research and Healing
David Dardashti is more than the founder of one of the world’s longest-running Ibogaine clinics; he is a theologian, a researcher, and a survivor who turned his own pain into a pathway for healing thousands.
For over 15 years, David has stood at the intersection of science and spirituality. By combining the ancient wisdom of Maimonides with modern neurobiology, he has developed a proprietary treatment protocol that addresses the human condition in its entirety—mind, body, and soul.
The Foundations: Science, Nature, and Survival
David’s journey began in Iran, where he was born into a prominent family; his father was a renowned singer and close confidant of the Shah. However, political upheaval forced the family to relocate to Israel, a move that would shape David’s resilience.
At just 12 years old, driven by an innate curiosity for the natural world, David left home to attend an agricultural boarding school. His days were rigorous—working the land from 5:00 AM until noon, followed by academic studies until 8:00 PM. It was here, observing the symbiotic relationships in nature, that David first understood the connection between biology and spirituality.
Upon graduating from Jamaica High School in New York, David returned to Israel to serve three years in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Like many veterans, he was exposed to significant trauma during his service—an experience that would later deepen his empathy and understanding of PTSD, a condition he now specializes in treating.
The Scholar: Bridging Maimonides and Modern Medicine
David is a lifelong student of the human psyche. After moving to the United States to study music at Florida Atlantic University, he continued his private studies in theology, the Talmud, and the Kabbalah.
His medical philosophy is deeply influenced by the 12th-century physician and philosopher Maimonides. David spent over 30 years researching the connection between cellular biology and spiritual health, asking a fundamental question: “If we have all the components of a cell, why can we not create life?” This inquiry led him to realize that healing is not just about mechanics; it is about “Perception”—the connection between the conscious mind, the subconscious, and the body’s innate logic.
The Turning Point: From Success to Addiction
In the late 1990s, David was a highly successful commercial real estate developer in the United States, building shopping centers and hotels. However, the stress of high-level entrepreneurship took a physical toll. Suffering from debilitating migraines—a symptom of executive burnout—David was prescribed prescription opioids.
Like millions of Americans, what began as pain management quickly spiraled into dependence. In 1998, with Ibogaine treatment virtually unknown, David was forced to quit “cold turkey.” He endured a year of agonizing withdrawal, depression, and cravings. This experience of total misery was the catalyst for his life’s work. He realized that the medical system had no viable solution for addiction, and he vowed to find one.
The Genesis of Ibogaine by David Dardashti
Discovering Ibogaine was a revelation. David realized that this substance was not merely a “drug,” but a tool for neurological and spiritual clarity. He saw that Ibogaine could bypass the physical withdrawal that had caused him so much suffering, while simultaneously opening the door to the subconscious to heal the root trauma.
Approximately 12 years ago, he founded the Ibogaine Clinic in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. His mission was simple: to create the treatment center he wished had existed when he was suffering. Since then, he has treated thousands of individuals, refining his protocols through observation, data, and a deep understanding of human anatomy.
The Philosophy: Perception Over Psychedelics
David challenges the label of Ibogaine as a “psychedelic.” He prefers the term “Perception.” He teaches that the true power of Ibogaine lies in its ability to trigger the central nervous system to communicate with the rest of the body. It lifts the individual from the limitations of the physical self, allowing them to view their trauma, addiction, and life choices with objective clarity.
“One can become spiritual only when lifted from the boundaries and limitations of the physical body and connected to the highest levels of consciousness—to the soul.” — David Dardashti
A Protocol for Every Condition
David’s passion for research has led to the development of specific algorithms and protocols for a wide range of conditions. He does not believe in a “one size fits all” dose. His clinic treats complex medical issues including:
Opiate Addiction: Specializing in both short-acting (Heroin, Fentanyl, Oxycodone) and long-acting opioids (Suboxone, Methadone).
Stimulant Addiction: Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and Adderall.
Mental Health: Treatment-resistant Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD.
Neurodegenerative Diseases: Early-stage Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and memory loss.
Chronic Health Issues: Hepatitis C, Crohn’s Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Migraines.
Anti-Aging & Wellness: David himself utilizes Ibogaine annually to boost immune function, maintain mental sharpness, and reset the body’s biological clock.
A Legacy of Healing
Today, David Dardashti remains the active heart of the clinic. His background as a musician even influences the treatment environment; the music played during sessions is a specific compilation curated by David to guide the subconscious journey.
He continues to study, learn, and refine his methods, driven by the knowledge that while he has helped thousands, there are millions more who still live in the shadow of addiction. His goal is to share this “miracle substance” with the world, proving that with the right combination of science, logic, and faith, the body can heal itself from almost anything.
